The government of this nation is granted power and authority only so that it may undertake and fulfill its duties and responsibilities.  It is not the role of the government to control or limit the people, but to protect their persons and their rights, and to encourage and ensure their growth and advancement.

It is the responsibility of the government:

• To protect and ensure the rights and freedoms of the people
• To protect and ensure the safety of the nation and the people under its jurisdiction
• To protect the privacy of the people from government, corporate, or personal invasion
• To provide for and ensure the education of the people
• To encourage and promote the advancement of the sciences, arts, and general knowledge
• To provide for and ensure the free flow of information
• To limit and constrain the powers and authority of itself so as to prevent the rise of tyranny.
